This week we are lazing in the Laurentians. Cross-country skiing along Le P’tit Train du Nord, eating, reading, napping. And relaxing.
Sunny winter days remind me of my very short career as a logger. Or a logger’s assistant. Or something. Such a treasured memory of mine.
I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of navigating the vicissitudes of winter this week. And having flashbacks about hard winters of the past.
I completed a winter closet edit this week. The deep freeze edition. I needed to get out my heaviest sweaters and pack away the light ones.
I am NOT a morning person. I love nothing better than to crawl back into bed and burrow under the duvet. Except under certain circumstances.
I have a dream of reading round the fire with all my book-loving friends, real and virtual. And then sipping wine and talking about books.
How does an avowed slow fashion devotee get excited about a new year of shopping? I have a plan. And I’m calling it Sue’s “New Frugality.”
